Special Election Information

The special election to replace Councilwoman Barbara Marshall will be conducted by mail.

If you are a registered voter in Council District 3 (Waimanalo, Kaneohe and Kailua), you will automatically receive your ballot in the mail in the first week of April.

Ballots must be filled out and returned by the voting deadline, 6 pm on April 23, 2009.  

Walk in Early Voting: April 6 - 21, 2009

You may also choose to vote in person at Honolulu Hale or the Pali Golf Course between April 6, and April 21. The polling place will be open 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Saturday. Accessible voting machines are available.

New District 3 Voters

The voter registration deadline is Tuesday, March 24, 2009. If you move into the district and transfer an existing Hawaii voter registration after that deadline, you can still vote.  You will need to make use of the walk in voting or request an absentee ballot.
